Christian Hessel

Christian Hessel is an experienced professional in the field of non-clinical safety, currently serving as Associate Director at BioNTech SE since January 2020, having previously held the position of Manager in the same department. Prior to this, Christian contributed to academic research as a Doktorand at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz from May 2015 to October 2021, conducting laboratory work in Mainz, Freiburg, and Würzburg under the guidance of Georg Gasteiger. Christian holds a Master of Science degree in Immunology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, completed between 2012 and 2015.
