Melanie Spahn

Melanie Spahn is an experienced professional in the field of pharmaceutical biotechnology, currently serving as Associate Director PMO MS&T at BioNTech SE since January 2021. Prior roles at BioNTech include Process Engineer MS&T and Scientist RNA Process Development. Melanie's research background includes a position as a PhD researcher at Fraunhofer ITEM from August 2017 to July 2020, and completion of a master thesis and internship at Roche in 2016. Earlier experience includes working as a student at Provadis Professionals GmbH, contributing to research and development projects with partner company Sanofi Aventis. Melanie holds a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Ulm University and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
