Walter Liau

Walter Liau, PhD, currently serves as Associate Director of Clinical Trials Supply Management Systems at BioNTech SE, a role commenced in July 2023. Previously, Liau was employed at Deloitte from July 2017 to July 2023, where positions included Cell and Gene Therapy Supply Chain Technology Manager, Life Science Supply Chain Technology Senior Consultant, and Life Science Technology Consultant, with significant involvement in digital transformation initiatives and supply chain technology for cell and gene therapy. Liau's earlier experience includes a doctoral researcher role at the University of California, Los Angeles, where extensive research was conducted in bioengineering, as well as academic contributions made during roles at various institutions including Harvey Mudd College and the University of California, Irvine. Liau holds a PhD in Bioengineering from UCLA and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.
