Wei Zhong

Wei Zhong currently serves as Senior Director at BioNTech SE since October 2023. Prior to this role, Wei held the position of Vice President for NextGen at the New England Statistical Society from June 2022 to May 2024, and served as Director of Biostatistics at Pfizer from September 2018 to October 2023. Wei also worked as a Principal Statistician at Takeda from 2014 to 2018, and as Biostatistician II at Genentech from 2012 to 2014. Wei’s early career included internships at Novartis and Pfizer in 2011. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, a Master's in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, a Master's in Human/Medical Genetics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
