Semhar Ghirmai, PhD, is a research scientist specializing in fats and oils at Melt&Marble since March 2023. Previously, Semhar served as a research assistant and Ph.D. candidate at Chalmers tekniska högskola from January 2018 to February 2023, focusing on preserving fish quality for enhanced valorization of the whole fish, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science. Additionally, Semhar gained experience as an innovation development engineer and quality control analyst at Oatly AB from May to December 2017, working on improving the stability and nutritional value of oat-based products. Semhar holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Biotechnology from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and completed a master's thesis at Nara Medical University.
