John Welsh

John Welsh is an Independent Consultant at Biopharm Project Solutions Inc. since March 2022, following a 40-year career in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Previously, John served as Director at Merck from July 2001 to July 2022, specializing in API and OSD Process Engineering and leading capital projects within the Manufacturing Division. Prior to Merck, John held various roles at AstraZeneca, including Capital Team Leader, and at Zeneca Agrochemicals in positions such as Production Superintendent and Capital Project Manager. Early career experience includes significant roles at ICI Americas, where John contributed to production engineering and project management. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, earned in 1982.
