Nouria Hernandez

Nouria Hernandez is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in molecular biology and genetics. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus at the University of Lausanne since August 2022 and as Chair of the Board of Directors at Biopôle SA since September 2020, Nouria Hernandez previously held the position of Professor at the University of Lausanne from 2005 to 2022. Prior roles include Rector and Director of the Center for Integrative Genomics at the Watson School of Biological Sciences, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from 1998 to 2005, and Associate Investigator then Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 1994 to 2005. Earlier in the career, Nouria Hernandez was a Senior Staff Investigator at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Yale University. Educational credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biology from Heidelberg University and a Diploma in Biology from the University of Geneva.
