Arthur Thomas

Arthur Thomas is an accomplished CEO and founder of Proteus Associates, an international consultancy specializing in the application of artificial intelligence to life and bio-medical sciences since January 1985. In addition, Arthur serves as a Technical Consultant at BioProtonics, Inc., focusing on innovative magnetic resonance techniques for cancer detection, and as Chief Technology Advisor at Pametan, developing AI algorithms for IoT systems. Arthur also provides consultancy for TrueDigitalSurgery, Inc. and mentors graduate students in biomedical sciences at Balliol College, University of Oxford. Additionally, Arthur has been a Research Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute and a Technical Advisor for the Global Health Network. Previous roles include consulting for TrueVision 3D Surgical and serving as a founding consultant and acting CTO for Caristo Diagnostics. Arthur co-founded Oxford Data Science and holds a BA from Balliol College, a PhD from Stanford University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Lausanne.
