Gavin Bell, CFA

Gavin Bell, CFA, has extensive work experience in investment and non-executive roles. Gavin started working at Maven Capital Partners in 2016 as an Investment Director. During their time there, they led investment rounds into various companies, such as Biorelate Ltd. and XR Games. In 2018, they became a Non-Executive Director at Biorelate Ltd., a company that provides AI software to the Pharma and Drug Discovery market. In 2021, they also became a Non-Executive Director at XR Games, a video game developer specializing in VR games.

In addition to their roles at Maven Capital Partners, Gavin has held board observer positions at several companies. Gavin was a Board Observer at My Digital in 2019. Gavin also led investment from Maven's NPIF Regional Fund into Healum, a company that has developed an AI-based software platform connecting clinicians, GPs, and patients out of clinic, and Telcom, an innovative full stack ISP.

Furthermore, they led investment from Maven's GM Regional Fund into LOFT.uk, a company that provides a full service for residential interiors. This investment was successfully exited in 2020. Gavin also led investment into Hiring Hub, a recruitment marketplace, and Estio Training, a software developer, through the NPIF Regional Fund. Both investments were exited in subsequent years.

Lastly, Gavin led investment from Maven's GM Regional Fund into Cake Solutions Ltd., a software developer specialized in streaming technologies. This investment was exited via acquisition by BamTech (now Disney) in 2017.

Gavin Bell, CFA, has an extensive education history. Gavin obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their undergraduate degree, Gavin Bell is a CFA Charterholder, having completed the necessary qualifications through the CFA Institute. As part of their professional development, they also hold certifications such as the CISI Diploma - Bond & Fixed Interest Markets and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) from CFA UK.
