Jocelyne Mendez-Guzman has a diverse work experience history. Jocelyne started their career as a Barista at Starbucks in May 2017 and worked there until October 2021. In June 2021, they joined BioRender as a Customer Experience Representative, and they are currently employed there. In September 2021, Jocelyne also became a Teaching Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University. Additionally, they will be starting a role as a Graduate Educational Developer at the TMU Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching in July 2023.

Jocelyne Mendez-Guzman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from Ryerson University, which they obtained from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science degree in Molecular Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, starting in 2021. Alongside their academic pursuits, Jocelyne has also earned various certifications. In July 2022, they completed the Graduate Teaching Development Program: Level 1 - Teaching Foundations at Toronto Metropolitan University. Additionally, they attained certifications in Customer Service: Problem Solving and Troubleshooting, Getting Started in User Experience (both from LinkedIn) in June 2022, and Mental Health and Addictions from Ryerson University - G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education in June 2021.
