Khatija Ali MD

Khatija Ali MD has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2017. In 2017, they were an Associate Professor at Oceania University of Medicine, a Research Assistant at Juravinski Cancer Centre, and a Member of the Board of Directors at Inspiring Canadian STEM Foundation. In 2018, they became the Chief Executive Officer at BioSapien. In 2019, they were a Senior Associate at Hibiscus BioVentures, an Assistant Professor at City University of New York-Brooklyn College, a Fellow at Entrepreneurship Lab (ELabNYC) Bio & Health Tech, a Research Associate at McMaster University, and a Research Associate at St. Michael's Hospital. Khatija also continued their role as an Associate Professor at Windsor University - School of Medicine. Throughout their roles, they have developed high-quality business strategies, raised capital, built trust relations with key partners and stakeholders, led projects, created infrastructures, conducted scientific diligence, made investment recommendations, taught graduate and undergraduate students, reported student progress, created lectures, and developed and managed syllabi.

Khatija Ali MD obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Windsor University School of Medicine in 2017, their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from McMaster University in 2012, and their High School Diploma from Clarkson Secondary School in 2008. In addition, they have obtained certifications from various institutions, including the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (Venture Finance Programme, 2020), ECFMG (ECFMG Certification, 2017), Panel on Research Ethics (TSPS2 Certification, 2017), American Heart Association | American Stroke Association (Basic Life Support, 2014 and PALS, 2015), and CITI Program, A Division of BRANY (Good Clinical Practice, 2017 and TGA/IATA Certification, 2017).
