Denise D'Souza has been working in the software and hardware engineering fields since 2017. Denise began their career with StarLeaf as a Software Engineer and Hardware Engineer. In 2016, they interned at Manchester Robot Orchestra, where they were involved with the optimisation of the circuitry design and wiring of the robots and assisted in the set up during performances. Denise also participated in Q&A sessions that followed. Denise also held a Summer Intern position at Manchester Robot Orchestra, where they improved their technical and project management skills, as well as their creativity in terms of designing and developing the project. In 2015, they held a Summer Placement at The University of Manchester, where they investigated an Electrocardiogram (ECG) and learnt how to read the data and to store the same on an accessible device. Denise improved their technical and problem-solving skills by working with different microcontroller boards, such as PSOC and Arduinos and programming languages like Java, C and JavaScript. Currently, they are working as a Junior Software Engineer for BIOS Health Ltd.

Denise D'Souza attended The University of Manchester from 2013 to 2017, where they earned their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering.
