Dr. Baydar

Dr. Cem Baydar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Afendis Capital Management since February 2025, Dr. Baydar also holds multiple advisory roles, including positions on the board of advisors for Sano Genetics, BIOS Health Ltd, and Ascension Ventures. Previously, Dr. Baydar was Chief Investment Officer at Eczacıbaşı Pharmaceutical and Industrial Investments, overseeing M&A and joint ventures. With a strong academic background in Mechanical Engineering, including a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Dr. Baydar has contributed to various accelerator programs and has been integral in guiding biotech and digital health startups through strategic planning and commercialization efforts.
