Qi Zhu has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. In 2014, they served as a Research Intern at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where they worked on a project focused on generating plasmids for the establishment of cardiomyocyte lines derived from iPSCs. Qi Zhu then worked as an Assistant in a familiar business (Hospitality) at Rte. Da Fu Hau from February 2015 to June 2015. In 2015, they also conducted Summer Research in Genetics. Starting in September 2015, Qi Zhu joined the Universitat de Barcelona as a Research Intern and later worked on their Master Thesis Project, both of which focused on studying the Chloride Channel ClC-a in Drosophila's neuron-glia interactions. Qi Zhu continued their research work at the university until July 2019. Since 2019, Qi Zhu has been employed as a Product Specialist and later promoted to Product Manager at BioSystems, where they are currently employed.
Qi Zhu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General at Universitat de Barcelona from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Qi Zhu pursued further education at Universitat de Barcelona and obtained a Master of Science degree in Genetics and Genomics. Specific dates for the Master's program are not provided.
