BIOTEC-NSTDA
Philip Shaw is a Senior Researcher at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology since May 2012. Philip also held a similar position at the Thailand Research Fund from 2014 to 2016. Shaw holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Leicester and a BSc in Genetics from The University of Sheffield.

BIOTEC-NSTDA
BIOTEC aims to make an impact on the well-being of Thai people and the world through science and technology development. The National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology or BIOTEC was launched under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Energy on 20 September 1983. After the establishment of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) on 30 December 1991, BIOTEC became one of the NSTDA's national research centers, operating outside the normal framework of civil service and state enterprises.
