Derek Scholes

Derek Scholes, the Vice President at Biotechnology Innovation Organization since June 2023, previously led policy work at the American Society of Human Genetics and worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health. Prior to that, Derek conducted research at the New York State Department of Health and earned a PhD and BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Liverpool.
