Mara Couto-Rodriguez

Mara Couto-Rodriguez has a diverse work experience. From 2009 to 2019, they worked at various institutions, beginning with the University of Georgia as a Graduate Student and Teaching Assistant. Mara then moved to the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez as a Teaching Assistant and the Universidad de Puerto Rico as a Master's student. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Research Staff Associate at Columbia University in the City of New York. During this time, they had diverse experience in human and mouse animal models research focusing on how the microbiome influences health and disease. In 2016, they worked at Eurofins as a Junior Laboratory Analyst, conducting food microscopy analysis and editing and translating SOP's from English to Portuguese. Mara then attended the same university from 2007 to 2009, where they earned an MS in Microbiology. From 2009 to 2012, they attended The University of Georgia, studying Fungal Biology.
