Pavan Kota

Pavan Kota is an accomplished professional in the field of bioengineering and diagnostics, currently serving as an Accelerator Company participant at BioTools Innovator since May 2024. As the Founder and CEO of Anvil Diagnostics, established in August 2022, Pavan is developing an innovative diagnostics platform for rapid microbial quantification. Pavan's journey includes significant roles such as an Activate Fellow from September 2022 to August 2024, providing vital support for entrepreneurial ventures, and extensive research experience during a PhD program at Rice University from 2017 to 2022. Previous positions include a NIH NLM Fellow in Biomedical Informatics and Data Science, Bioventures Team Lead at Enventure, and Research Scientist at Apollo Medical Devices, showcasing a strong foundation in scientific research and startup development. Pavan holds a PhD from Rice University and a BS from Case Western Reserve University.
