Xavier Rufray has extensive experience in conservation and ecology, currently serving as Directeur technique of the Service international de Biotope since September 2011. Previously, Xavier held roles including Directeur général of Biotope China and various directorial positions within the Service International of Biotope. Xavier's earlier career included significant positions at the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels d'Occitanie as Directeur du service conservation de la faune, and as Chef de Projet Ornithologue at the Groupe de Recherche sur les Vertébrés et leur Environnement. Additional roles include work at LPO France and natural reserves as a nature guide. Xavier Rufray holds a Master 2 in Ecology from the University of Montpellier and studied at the École Pratique des Hautes Études.
