Steffen Kluge

Steffen Kluge has extensive work experience in data protection and privacy roles. In 2023, they worked as the Director of Data Protection at BIOTRONIK. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2022, they were a Senior Manager in Datenschutz at MYTOYS GROUP. In 2020, they worked as a Referent Zentraler Dienst Datenschutz at Helios Kliniken GmbH. From 2019 to 2020, they served as the Leiter der Stabsstelle Datenschutzmanagement at Charité. Before that, from 2016 to 2019, they were an Expert in Datenschutzmanagement at gematik. Steffen Kluge also worked as a Rechtsanwalt and Consultant at PERSICON from 2014 to 2016, as a Consultant at datenschutz süd GmbH from 2012 to 2013, and as a Justiziar at Händlerbund from 2010 to 2012.

Steffen Kluge completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Informationsrecht at Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Jurastudium, allgemein, and obtained a 1. Staatsexamen from the University of Trier from 2001 to 2007. Steffen later achieved a 2. Staatsexamen from OLG Brandenburg in 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Compliance Officer certification from TÜV Rheinland Group in 2022. In 2017, they acquired the Datenschutzauditor certification from TÜV Rheinland Group. Other certifications include the Foundation Certificate in IT-Servicemanagement (ITIL) and Geprüfter IT-Sicherheitsbeauftragter (SGS TÜV) from SGS-TÜV Saar in 2014, as well as the Geprüfter Datenschutzbeauftragter (DSB-TÜV) certification from TÜV Süd in 2011.
