Yesenia Valencia

As a microbiologist at the BioXtech lab, Yesenia manages the processes for obtaining and preparing BioXgel (the hyper-concentrated platelet-rich plasma) and supports processes for obtaining, separating, expanding, and cryopreserving stromal stem cells used in the therapies and research projects.

Based on her experience in the management of cell culture lines and expertise in obtaining cells from tissues, especially stromal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly, her expertise includes evaluation of different compounds with medicinal potential and possible therapeutic targets. She earned her degree in microbiology and bioanalysis at the University of Antioquia.
