Shai Akabas

Shai Akabas is a seasoned economic policy expert currently serving as the Executive Director of the Economic Policy Program at the Bipartisan Policy Center, a position held since April 2010, with a progressive career trajectory that includes roles such as Director, Associate Director, Senior Policy Analyst, and Policy Analyst. Prior to joining the Bipartisan Policy Center, Shai Akabas was a Field Organizer and Satellite Office Director for Bloomberg for Mayor from June to December 2009. Shai Akabas holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from Georgetown University, earned between 2014 and 2016, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Cornell University, completed in 2009.
