Kevin began their career in 1997 as Corporate Marketing Manager for Interpump Group S.p.A., a $40 million US operations of an Italian manufacturer of high pressure water pumps. In 2000, they joined GE Capital as Vice President of Marketing and a Six Sigma Black Belt. In 2004, they became a Partner at Cognition Partners, a boutique consulting firm focused on Go-to-Market strategy. From 2005 to 2011, they were the Vice President of Commercial Operations at President Homes, where they oversaw product management, marketing, pricing, and promotion efforts. In 2016, they joined SparkCognition as Business Development Manager in the healthcare sector, where they identified business problems and clients that would benefit from Artificial Intelligence. In 2019, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Nexben, where they enhanced security and scalability by moving to a new HIPAA-compliant cloud environment. In 2020, they became an Entrepreneur In Residence at the Allen Institute for AI (AI2) and Co-Founder and CEO of Birch.ai, a company that leverages proprietary generative AI models to reduce average handle time up to 35% by automating after call summaries and classifications for call centers in healthcare, insurance, and banking.
Kevin Terrell has an educational background in business, international business, German, political science, and economics. Kevin holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, a Diploma in International Business from the Stockholm School of Economics, a BA in German and Political Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Certificate in Political Science and Economics from Georgetown University.
