Birch Family Services
Samantha Nottingham serves as Chief Development Officer for Birch Family Services. In this role, Samantha provides leadership to the Development Department and works to strengthen the agency’s relationships with private and institutional grantmakers.
Samantha brings extensive experience to the position, including 15 years advocating and fundraising for programs supporting underrepresented youth. Prior to joining Birch Family Services, she was Director of Resource Development at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York City. She was also previously the Director of Development and Communications at the Bronx Charter School for Better Learning. Samantha is a founding board member of the Heketi Community Charter School and a guest columnist for The Harlem Times. She has a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado.

Since 1975, Birch Family Services has served over 20,000 people with autism and developmental disabilities and their families throughout New York City. Today, they are a provider of educational and long-term support in 30 locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Their programs have expanded over the years and now include a wide array of individualized, person-centered services. Birch’s programs have helped people with autism and developmental disabilities and their families navigate significant transitions across the life cycle for more than 40 years.
