DuLane Gash

Director of Accreditation & Corporate Compliance at Birch Tree Communities

DuLane Gash has extensive experience in various roles related to accreditation, corporate compliance, quality management, and program management.

In 2018, Gash worked as the Director of Accreditation & Corporate Compliance at Birch Tree Communities, Inc. During this role, Gash was responsible for overseeing compliance with accreditation standards.

Prior to that, Gash served as a Surveyor at CARF International starting in 2009. In this role, Gash conducted surveys to evaluate compliance with accreditation standards in healthcare organizations.

From 2008 to 2018, Gash worked at Preferred Family Healthcare, starting as the VP of Quality Management. In this position, Gash supported program operations, monitored Medicaid compliance, and prepared for CARF Accreditation. Additionally, Gash implemented Supportive Living Services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Gash held additional roles within the organization, including Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Supportive Living Services, Voice & Choice, Utilization Review, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and Regional Director of Behavioral Health Programs.

Gash also served as the Director of Programs at Midland Empire Resources for Independent Living in 2008. In this role, Gash managed various programs and services related to independent living and advocacy.

Prior to that, Gash worked as the Manager of Employment Services at Truman Employment Service of Truman Medical Center Behavioral Health from 2002 to 2008. Here, Gash oversaw supported and community employment programs and developed partnerships with mental health centers.

From 1998 to 2002, Gash worked as the Vocational Services Manager at Tri-County Mental Health Services, Inc. In this role, Gash developed and implemented various vocational programs for individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities.

Gash started their career at Jewish Vocational Service in 1994 as the Evaluation Programs Manager and Rehabilitation Services Manager. In this position, Gash developed and implemented evaluation and supported employment programs. Gash also opened a satellite office and doubled net income for the vocational evaluation department.

In 1991, Gash worked as a Vocational Evaluator at The Rehabilitation Institute.

DuLane Gash attended Waldron High School from 1980 to 1986. Following high school, from 1986 to 1991, Gash pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas. Continuing their education further, Gash attended the University of Central Missouri from 1992 to 1999, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Psychology/Counseling.
