Theo van der Werken

Theo van der Werken has a strong and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Theo started their career in 2002 as a UB Drilling Engineer and Reservoir Engineer at Weatherford MENA & Corporate, where they worked until 2005. Theo then moved on to Conocophillips Canada, where they served as a Reservoir Engineer from 2005 to 2006. Theo further gained experience as an Exploitation Engineer at Seven Energy (Canada) Inc from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011, Theo worked as a Sr. Exploitation/Reservoir Engineer at Equal Energy. Currently, they are employed at Birchcliff Energy Ltd since 2011, starting as a Sr. Exploitation Engineer, and later taking on roles as an Asset Manager in the Montney area. Most recently, they have been working as the Vice President of Engineering.

Theo van der Werken completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Energy from the Haskayne School of Business, which they attended from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Mining Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 2002. Theo also pursued a degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering during the same period at Delft University of Technology.
