Andrew Wooning has a diverse work experience. Andrew started working at Appleby College in 2016 as a Landscape Maintenance employee. In 2017, they transitioned to RBC Insurance, where they served as a Licensed Insurance Advisor until 2018. In the same year, Andrew joined Mississaugua Golf and Country Club as a Golf Course Maintenance worker. The following year, they worked at the City of Mississauga as part of the Technical Services - Inspections team for a few months. From 2020 to 2021, Andrew worked at Hayman Construction Inc. as a Construction Coordinator, where they played a crucial role in a $6.2 million concrete formwork package for a retirement home. Currently, they are a Project Coordinator at Bird Construction starting in 2021.

Andrew Wooning began their education at McMaster University in 2013 and completed their Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in 2017. Afterward, they attended Mohawk College from 2018 to 2021, studying Civil Engineering Technology - Co-op. During their educational journey, Andrew acquired various certifications, including Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C from the Canadian Red Cross in November 2021, Basics of Supervising from the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association (IHSA) in September 2021, Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 Steps from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development in September 2021, Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) in January 2021, Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development in January 2020, and Working at Heights from the Worksite Safety Compliance Centre in July 2020.
