Jerome Phillip P.GSC, NCSO has a diverse work experience in the field of health and safety. Jerome has worked as a Contract Safety Specialist at Bird Construction since December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an HSE Lead at Cross Canada Millwright Ltd. for two months in 2019. From 2018 to 2019, Jerome served as an HSE Lead at MasTec Canada. Jerome also worked as a Mechanical Permit Supervisor at K+S Potash Canada for six months in 2017. Jerome has extensive experience as an HSE Lead at Mastec Canada/Big Country Energy Services Inc. from 2013 to 2017. Jerome has also held positions as a Lead HSE Advisor at Edmonton Exchanger Group of Companies and as an HSE Advisor at Whaler Industrial Contractor Inc., Victory Pressure Services, Phoenix Industrial, and Plains Midstream Canada in 2012. Throughout their career, Jerome has demonstrated expertise in coaching, mentoring, monitoring HSE trends, and developing compliance systems and programs.

Jerome Phillip P.GSC, NCSO has a diverse educational background with a focus on safety management and construction-related studies. In 2005, they enrolled at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) and completed a Journeyman Steamfitter-Pipefitter program in 2009.

Additionally, in 2009, they obtained certification as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) from ACSA (Alberta Construction Safety Association).

In 2017, Jerome attended the Canadian Construction Association-Canadian Gold Seal program, specializing in Safety Management.

Jerome has also earned several certifications throughout their career. In January 2009, they achieved a Steamfitter-Pipe Fitter Red Seal certification from NAIT. Furthermore, they obtained the Gold Seal Certified (GSC) designation from the Canadian Construction Association in January 2017. Most recently, in June 2023, Jerome achieved the Construction Safety Practitioner-Professional Gold Seal certification from Gold Seal Certification.
