Omar Assaf

Omar Assaf is a qualified engineering professional with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Currently serving as a Turnover Coordinator and Document Control at Bird Construction, Omar is responsible for coordinating documentation and certification on the U1CDIP Skirt Remediation project at Suncor Base Plant. Previous experience includes working as a Process Engineer at Canadian Kraft Paper Industries Ltd, where project trials for process changes were coordinated, and leadership was demonstrated through managing multidisciplinary teams. Additional roles include Personal Shopper at Real Canadian Superstore, Delivery Helper at UPS, and Safety Lead and Team Lead during academic projects at the University of Alberta, where safety standards, process design, and economic analysis were rigorously applied. Omar's early career included a role as a Cashier at Walmart Canada, showcasing strong customer service and teamwork skills.
