Stewart Lyons

Stewart Lyons has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Stewart is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Bird Canada since June 2019. In addition to their role at Bird Canada, they are also a Board Member at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) since October 2020 and Borrowell since April 2019.

Prior to these positions, Stewart Lyons held various leadership roles at several companies. Stewart was a Board Member at Avante Security Inc. from September 2018 to March 2022. Before that, they served as the SVP Emerging Business at SiriusXM from April 2017 to June 2019. Stewart Lyons also worked as a Mentor at NEXT Canada from January 2017 to December 2017.

From 2014 to 2016, they were the Chief Executive Officer at TeraGo Networks. Before joining TeraGo Networks, Stewart Lyons held significant positions at Mobilicity, including President and Co-Founder from November 2011 to November 2013, and Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder from August 2008 to November 2011. During their tenure at Mobilicity, they played a crucial role in the company's exit to Rogers Communications for $465M.

Stewart Lyons co-founded SiriusXM in 2003 and served as the Executive Vice President from 2003 to August 2008. Prior to that, they worked as an Interest Rate Options Trader at Scotiabank from May 2003 to June 2005.
