Nancy is currently developing a robot prototype under the National Science Foundation's Small Business Innovation Research grant. She is developing a new method to work with unpiloted aerial systems and robotics to map and monitor non-native invasive plants in the deciduous forest understory. She received a B.A. in biology from Mount Holyoke College, a Master of Forest Science from the Yale School of the Environment, and a Ph.D. from the Dept. of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Connecticut.
