Michael Portman is a co-founder of Birds Barbershop, where oversight of all brand and shop development has taken place since May 2006. In addition, Michael co-founded Verb Products in 2009. Previous experience includes serving as an executive speechwriter for the president of Disneyland at The Walt Disney Company from 2003 to 2005 and working as a screenwriter from 2000 to 2005, during which various scripts and a novel were developed. Michael also held the role of campaign ghostwriter for President Vicente Fox of Mexico from 1998 to 2000 and started as a researcher/copywriter at Allyn Media, rising to the position of creative director from 1996 to 1999. Michael holds a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from The Johns Hopkins University, earned between 1993 and 1996.
