Catherine Haines

Catherine Haines currently serves as the HR Manager at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, having joined in September 2023 during a significant development period for the organization. Prior to this role, Catherine was the Training School Coordinator at Bishop Challoner Catholic College from April 2015 to September 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing a busy teacher training program within a 41 school training alliance. Catherine also held the position of Head of Human Resources at Birmingham Museums Trust from April 2012 to March 2015, leading an HR team through a merger and multiple restructures. Previous experience includes serving as Human Resources Manager at Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, and various roles in language training and travel consulting. Catherine holds an MA in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Warwick and a BA Hons in French & Portuguese from the University of Leeds.
