Steven Brown

Steven Brown serves as the Chief of Sports & Exercise Medicine and Assistant Professor of Sports & Exercise Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since October 2022. In addition to these roles, Steven holds several positions as a Team Physician for various organizations, including the United States Football League, Birmingham Bulls Hockey, Birmingham Legion FC, and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee for USA Wheelchair Rugby. Previous experience includes serving as Team Physician for Christian Brothers University, Memphis Redbirds, Memphis Grizzlies, Briarcrest Christian High School, and St. Mary's Episcopal School. Steven earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the UAB Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
