Antonio Pizano is a board member at Birmingham Community Charter High School. Antonio previously worked as the director of small business lending at VEDC from October 2012 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for all business development and credit management activities for the organization's three western states, including California, Nevada, and Utah. Antonio generated $13MM in small business loans each year with an average loan size of $300M. In addition, they provided oversight of the SBA Community Advantage loan program with an annual production goal of $6MM. Pizano managed a team consisting of loan underwriters, credit analysts, business development staff, and administrative support. Antonio worked closely with the underwriting team and Chief Credit Officer to ensure that all credit requests were underwritten in accordance with credit policies and in line with the organization's mission and credit culture. Pizano also represented the organization in various capacities, including consultant, trainer, speaker, and media spokesperson.

From October 2018 to October 2019, Pizano worked as a consultant for Small Business & Economic Development. In March 2017, they began working as the Vice President and Los Angeles Director of CDFI Lending for Bankers Small Business CDC of California. Antonio held this position until September 2018.
