Kim Bridger-Hunt, C.M., MPA has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Kim is currently serving as the VP of Communications at Birmingham Airport Authority since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Corpus Christi International Airport as the Marketing Manager from August 2010 to December 2021. In this role, they strategically marketed the airport, conducted research, managed the website and social media, and served as the airport spokesperson. Before that, they were the News Director at KTSM El Paso from June 2007 to January 2010, where they managed the news operation and oversaw the combining of two separate broadcasts. Kim also served as the Assistant News Director at KRGV Rio Grande Valley from September 2002 to April 2007, where they managed editorial content and special projects.
Kim Bridger-Hunt, C.M., MPA obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas. Kim studied at the university from 1983 to 1986. Afterward, they pursued higher education at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where they completed their Masters Degree in Public Administration. Kim attended the university from 2010 to 2015.

The Birmingham Airport Authority was established in 1986 by the Birmingham City Council to manage the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport and continue its growth. The Birmingham Airport Authority is governed by a seven member Board of Directors, appointed by the Mayor of City of Birmingham and confirmed by the Birmingham City Council. The day to day operation is managed by the President and CEO and The Birmingham Airport Authority staff of over 100 employees within five departments. The Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) home to four major airlines with over 100 daily flights to 15 cities for more than 2.6 million passengers in 2016. BHM offers a great variety of food and retail options for passengers along with amenities for all passengers alike.
