Amelia Spencer

Amelia Spencer is currently serving as a Program Evaluation Analyst at Glenwood since July 2024. Prior to this role, Amelia held various positions at Birmingham-Southern College, including Full Professor of Education, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor of Education, starting in August 2008. Amelia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Special Education and Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1990-1993) and has multiple master's degrees from The University of Alabama in Special Education, Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Amelia also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from Birmingham-Southern College (1981-1985).
