Melanie Vines

Melanie Vines, PhD, EI is an Engineer 1 at Birmingham Water Works Board, conducting pilot-scale water treatment research and providing recommendations to senior staff. Melanie has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama, where Melanie characterized disinfection byproduct precursors and developed paleo river reconstructions. Melanie has also worked as a Civil Engineering Intern at Jacobs and interned at the City of Maryville Government. In addition, Melanie has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from The University of Alabama.
