Rhonda Elmore

Vice President Youth Development at Birmingham YMCA

Rhonda Elmore has extensive experience working for various YMCA organizations. Rhonda started their career in 1994 as a Summer Camp Counselor/Coordinator at the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA. Rhonda then joined the Columbus YMCA in 1996 as a Membership Staff/Leaders Club Advisor. In 1997, Rhonda moved to the YMCA of Central Florida, where they held positions as Childcare Coordinator, Program Director, and Family Services Director. Rhonda continued their career at the YMCA of Tuscaloosa County from 2002 to 2005 as a Youth and Family Director. Rhonda's most recent and long-term employment is with the Birmingham YMCA, where they have held various positions, including Associate Executive Director, Executive Director, Association Youth Development Director, and currently, Vice President/Youth Development.

Rhonda Elmore graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from 1993 to 1997. In addition to their degree, they obtained two certifications: an Effective Program Management Trainer certification from the YMCA of the USA (National Resource Office) in August 2022, and an Organizational Leader certification from the same institution in October 2015.
