Per Byman

Per Byman is the Country Coordinator for Ukraine and Moldova at Caritas Germany, bringing over 35 years of experience in humanitarian and development work. With more than 20 years in managerial roles across governmental and civil society sectors, Byman has held several significant positions including Managing Director at the Norwegian Refugee Council and Humanitarian Director at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. They have contributed to various organizations, such as Caritas Sweden and Caritas Internationalis, focusing on human rights, democracy, and humanitarian assistance. An accomplished jazz pianist with a keen interest in languages and European culture, Byman's educational background includes studies in Political Sciences and German at esteemed institutions.
