Cathy Israelevitz is an accomplished marketing professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Marketing at Birthright Israel Excel since January 2020, Cathy also operates Maverick Advising, LLC as Founder and President, where guidance is provided to families navigating the selective college admissions process. In addition, Cathy contributes to strategic planning as a member of the Parents Advisory Council at Duke University, representing the interests of Duke parents. Previously, Cathy held the position of EVP, Senior Director at BBDO Worldwide, leading major accounts including Johnson & Johnson and Pepsi-Cola. Experience includes board membership at The Bronx High School of Science and Co-Chairperson of the School Leadership Team at The Lower Lab School for Gifted & Talented Education. Educational qualifications include a degree in Analytics from Grow with Google, a Digital Master Class from Hyper Island, and a Management degree from Ithaca College.

Birthright Israel Excel

Birthright Israel Excel is an prestigious lifelong business fellowship for young Jewish adults that begins with a 10-week professional experience in Israel. Highly accomplished Jewish college sophomores, juniors and seniors from the US and international markets as well as Israeli soldiers, students and young professionals pursuing careers in business and/or technology are welcome to apply to Excel. During the summer program, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows from the US and international markets intern at a prominent Israeli company. Internships are at firms with global reach from a wide selection of industries, including finance, venture capital, consulting, technology, startups, engineering, bio-tech and marketing. Throughout the summer, all Birthright Israel Excel Fellows, including those from Israel, engage with distinguished Israeli leaders from business, technology, politics and philanthropic organizations on a broad range of topics including leadership, Jewish identity, the global economy, and teamwork. In addition, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows travel on designated weekend trips throughout Israel designed to encourage a deeper understanding of the State of Israel and its history. Upon completion of the summer programming, all Birthright Israel Excel Fellows continue to network together to expand both their leadership and business acumen and join an exclusive community of next generation global Jewish business leaders. They are joined by dozens of prominent Israeli mentors as well as North American advisers, as part of the broader Birthright Israel Excel Professional Community.
