Katie Jayne has extensive work experience in the senior care industry. Katie began their career in 2003 as a Service Coordinator at Ansonborough House/Charleston Area Senior Citizens, where they managed various responsibilities including assisting residents with benefits and personal issues, managing a weekly food pantry, and distributing Commodity Boxes from the Low Country Food Bank. In 2005, they transitioned to Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community as the Vice President of Community Life and Compliance, overseeing compliance programs, activity programming for multiple areas of care, and various reports and incidents related to resident satisfaction. In 2008, they joined CARF International as a CARF Accreditation Surveyor.
Katie Jayne completed their Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the College of Charleston, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) from AAPC Global in January 2018, Dual Nursing Home and Community Resident Care Administrator from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in August 2013, and CARF Surveyor from CARF International in August 2008.
