Jan Kealoha

Malacology Captive Rearing Coordinator at Bishop Museum

Jan Kealoha is an experienced professional in the field of microbiology and marine biology, currently serving as the Malacology Captive Rearing Coordinator and Malacology Collections Technician at Bishop Museum since January 2020. Previously, Jan has worked as a Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion Research Associate at The Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i since November 2017 and held roles as a Research Assistant and Laboratory Technician at the Hawaii Corrosion Laboratory and Hawaii Marine Microbial Culture Center, respectively, from July 2008 to August 2017. Jan also contributed as the Assistant Lab Coordinator at Kapiolani Community College between February 2010 and February 2011. Jan's educational background includes a Master of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology, both obtained from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to higher education, Jan completed a high school diploma at St Andrew's Priory.
