James Delano

James DeLano, DVM, is an accomplished veterinarian and entrepreneur with a diverse background in veterinary practice management and education. As the founder of VizVet since January 2020, James has developed a platform that integrates practice financial data for veterinary clinics. In parallel, James founded Grow A Better DVM in June 2016, focusing on mentorship for fellow veterinarians. With extensive experience as a managing general partner at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center and as a volunteer assistant clinical professor at UC Davis, James actively mentors veterinary students. James has held key leadership roles in financial oversight as Vice Chair and committee chair for the AVMA Trust and served on the Board of Directors for Tri-Valley Bank, where significant improvements were made during a financial crisis. James earned a DVM from Iowa State University between 1984 and 1987.
