Miquel Abarca Lacambra

Miquel Abarca Lacambra has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Miquel began their career in 1996 as a Project Manager for ESPRIT TELECOM. In 1998, they moved to Retevision as an Access Engineer. In 1999, they joined COLT as an Operations Manager. In 2007, they were promoted to Regional Director, Service & Contract Management South Region at Colt Technology Services. In this role, they were responsible for running Service and Programme Management for Spain, Italy, France & Portugal, transforming and implementing customers IT & network services, and managing services including WAN&LAN networking, cloud, security, hosting IT, and ERP environments. Miquel also held the positions of Senior Manager, Sales & Business Relationship Spain, and Manager, Control & Service Management Spain, Colt Managed Services. In 2016, Miquel became the UK Service Operations Manager at Truphone, where they were accountable for service & project management and customer relationship for mobile services for large companies focused in banking sector. Miquel also worked as a Freelance IT Consultant, providing digital transformations and PMO implementation services. Since 2017, they have been the Director of Operations and Senior Project Manager, PMO at Bismart, Business Intelligence Specialist Services.

Miquel Abarca Lacambra completed a 5 year Telecomunication Engineer degree at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 1992 to 1997. In 2004 and 2005, they completed a Master in Management Skills at Krauthamer International. In 2011, they completed a JAWS Leadership and Performance Management course at JAWS Management, Consulting & Investments Master. In 2012, they completed a Managing Change Programme at Adaptis Limited in the field of Transformation & Change Management for organizations. In addition, they obtained a PRINCE2® Foundation certification from ILX Group in June 2011 and an ITIL Expert Certificate in IT Service Management 2011 from OGC.
