Lars Grotewold is an experienced director specializing in climate action and strategic philanthropy, currently serving as the Director of Climate Action at Stiftung Mercator GmbH since April 2009. In addition to this role, Lars holds several interim and advisory positions, including Director of Europe in the World at Kühne Foundation and External Expert for the Kühne Climate Center. Lars is also a board member of The International Council on Clean Transportation and has various roles at organizations focusing on sustainability, such as co-founder and Chair of shareholder's meetings at 2050 Media Projekt gGmbH and Agora Transport Transformation gGmbH.
