Aravind Mantravadi has had a variety of work experiences since 2017. In 2017, they were a Peer Advisor at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where they worked with a TA to help reinforce calculus concepts and administered bi-weekly quizzes. In 2018, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Rutgers University-New Brunswick and a Cyber Security Intern at Visteon Corporation, where they implemented a verified boot chain, used veritysetup tools to implement read-only transparent integrity checking of block devices, built custom kernels from scratch, created a custom initramfs image, and wrote an init script. In 2019, they were an Academic Tutor at Rutgers University. In 2020, they were a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, where they assisted with the course Stats 206, and a Graduate Research Assistant, where they expanded the functionality of GranatumX and debugged ~40 modules in the pipeline. Currently, in 2021, they are a Data Engineer at BitBrew, where they built a data pipeline to facilitate the use of machine learning to detect and classify objects in video files, designed and implemented algorithms to estimate the distance and position of detected objects, and leveraged transfer learning to classify dashcam footage by weather condition.
Aravind Mantravadi completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in 2019. Aravind then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of Michigan, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In 2020, they obtained a certification in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera.
