Kong Pang is a highly experienced software engineer with a diverse career spanning over 20 years. Kong started their professional journey in 1997 as a Programmer in Systems Development at ILX Systems Inc and then moved on to Bridge Information Systems Inc as a Software Engineer in Systems Development for three years. In 2000, Kong joined Morgan Stanley as an Associate in Information Technology.
In 2005, Kong transitioned to Google as a Software Engineer in Google Audio and stayed there for four years. Kong then joined EMC Corporation in 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer in Backup & Recovery Systems. After three years, Kong moved to PIMCO in 2013 as a Consultant in Trading, Legal, and Compliance. Within that same year, they also joined Verizon Media as a Lead Software Engineer in Traffic Engineering and Cloud Storage.
Kong's most recent roles include working at Obsidian Security as a Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2019, and currently at Bitcentral, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, a position they have held since 2019.
Kong Pang started their education in 1985 at Foon Yew High School, where they studied until 1990. Following this, they attended the University of Arizona from 1992 to 1995, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering. In 1995, they further pursued their studies at Stony Brook University, completing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science in 1996.
