Alexandru Citea

Alexandru Citea is a Senior Team Lead at Bitdefender since February 2013, managing a team of 13 engineers focused on the EDR Endpoint backend. With experience as a Technical Lead, Alexandru has contributed to enhancing attack detection methodologies and developed key features such as HyperDetect and the CommandLine scanner. Previous roles include Malware Analyst, where development of automated tools and heuristic detection routines took place, and Teaching Collaborator at the Faculty of Computer Science, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, delivering seminars in programming and computer architecture. Earlier experience includes freelance web development, focusing on website enhancements and automation tools. Alexandru holds a Master's degree in Computational Optimization and a Bachelor's degree in Informatics from the same university.
