Sergio L. Rico

Sergio L. Rico is a seasoned backend engineer with extensive experience in the digital asset and software development sectors. Currently serving as a Backend Engineer at Bitfinex since March 2023, Sergio previously held backend engineering roles at Kraken Digital Asset Exchange and Unifi Protocol, where expertise in backend team leadership and implementation of KYC onboarding was demonstrated. Additional experience includes senior software engineering positions at PagoNxt, focusing on deploying microservices in Google Cloud Platform, and at Payvision, where internal microservices were developed. Earlier roles included full stack development in various companies, including a significant contribution to an e-commerce migration project at Mumablue and technical consultancy at BNB. Sergio is a graduate of Universidad de Alcalá, holding a degree in Computer Engineering.
